Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are extracurricular groups for students in CTE pathways to further their knowledge and skills by participating in activities, events and competitions. The CTSO must specifically relate to one or more of the 16 national career clusters. Some of these CTSOs apply to only one career cluster while others apply to students from many clusters.
There are currently over 2 million students participating in CTSOs nationally.
